  • 500 grams black beans, soaked overnight
  • 200 grams pork belly, cut into pieces
  • 200 grams smoked sausage, sliced
  • 200 grams beef jerky, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic, minced
  • 2
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • For Serving
  • White rice
  • Collard greens, sautéed
  • Farofa (toasted cassava flour)
  • Orange slices

    Preparation
  1. Soaking the BeansFeijoadaRinse the black beans and soak them overnight in a large bowl with enough water to cover them completely.
  2. Cooking the MeatsFeijoadaIn a large pot, combine the soaked beans, pork belly, smoked sausage, beef jerky, onions, garlic, and bay leaves. Cover with water, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 4 hours, or until the beans are tender and the meats are cooked through.
