Ingredients
    For Tacacá Soup
  • 1 of tucupi sauce (pre-boiled)
  • 200 grams of jambu leaves (washed)
  • 300 grams of dried shrimp (cleaned and desalted)
  • 2 of garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Chili pepper (optional)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Tucupi SauceTacacáIn a large pot, bring the tucupi sauce to a boil. Add the minced garlic and let it simmer for approximately 15 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  2. Cook the Jambu LeavesTacacáIn another pot, blanch the jambu leaves in boiling water for about 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
  3. Combine IngredientsAdd the cooked jambu leaves and dried shrimp to the simmering tucupi sauce. Season with salt and chili pepper to taste. Let it cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. ServeServe the Tacacá hot, traditionally in a cuia (gourd bowl) if available.
